Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
John 12:26

PETER AND MARYANN
The House Parents
Peter and Maryann have served as our house parents since 2012, and Peter also fills the role of Executive Director. Peter’s background in ministry and Maryann’s background in education have been invaluable, and their integrity, deep convictions, ready love, and ability to adapt have blessed not only their children and Kenyan staff, but partners, donors, and the stateside CWH office across the world.
All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.
Isaiah 54:13

A CLEAR CALLING
Perhaps no one can express the blessing of Peter and Maryann as well as their children. One of our
oldest boys, Jacob, wrote this note to Peter a couple of months ago: “Dad you have been a blessing to me. Every time I wake up I don’t have to worry cause I know you are there. When I am at school and playing with others I tell them about you and when I go to bed I leave all the worries to you. God bless you dad.”
Thank you, Peter and Maryann, for your unwavering commitment to rescuing orphans and raising a nation!

TOBIAH FAMILY CHILDREN
Virginia, Jane, and Treasure
Sharing your mom and dad with three dozen ready-made siblings is undoubtedly a challenge, but these three have taken it in stride! Treasure, Jane, and Virginia are Peter and Maryann’s biological children. Jane and Virginia (now both in high school) have truly embraced their parents’ ministry as their own and serve as incredibly loving, deeply loyal, and only occasionally bossy big sisters to all of the little ones, while Treasure, who is currently in 5 th grade, has been raised in the midst of the bunch and tackled sharing his parents with enthusiastic grace. We’d be remiss not to acknowledge the sacrifice these three have made for the Kingdom, and to recognize that Children With Hope wouldn’t be nearly the same without them. We love you guys!
Rachel
Sweet Rachel came to the children’s home in 2012. As an infant, she suffered a severe case of meningitis and the high fever damaged her brain. While Rachel’s health and future were very uncertain, Children With Hope firmly believes that God has a plan for everyone, including and especially those with disabilities, and we were glad to welcome her into our family! Rachel was immensely loved by Peter,
Maryann, and her 28 siblings. She loved watching her brothers and sisters play outside, and always perked up when she could hear music. When Rachel was 4 years old, she passed away, and while her life was short, we thank God for the time we had with her and the way she impacted everyone at Children With Hope. The loss felt by Peter and Maryann and her siblings – while very real – is comforted by the knowledge of Rachel’s ultimate healing and that she is now with her Heavenly Father. She will always be a part of the CWH family!
We love you Rachel!
