Mission Statement
Children
with Hope exists
to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional, educational and
economic needs of orphan children. CWH is
a Christian organization that seeks to accomplish this mission
by effectively and wisely providing the services most critical
to children who have been orphaned.
Children
With Hope –
Philosophy
Children
with Hope is
a Christian ministry that is based on biblical principles. We
believe that Christ has called us to minister to the
hurting in our world, and orphans are one of those
special groups that we are called to care for (James
1:27). One of the basic principles that CWH is
based on, is that of integrity. The issue of
integrity goes to financial stewardship and extends
to the manner in which the CWH board
conducts the ministry. Board
members receive no compensation of any kind for their
service. Further,
we have been blessed with donations from board members
themselves to cover all administrative costs. This
allows 100% of the funds which are raised to go toward
the development of the Children’s Home. Each
board member who has gone to Kenya for Children
With Hope has
also paid entirely for their own trip.
The
Eldoret orphanage will be the first that Children
With Hope establishes. We
are blessed to have seen God raise up people both in
the U.S. and in Kenya to assist us each step of the way. We
have already started to see an “infra-structure” take
place of both Kenyans and Americans to provide advice
and direction. These “advisors” range from
missionaries to pastors to others in the U.S.
and Kenya.
We
have yet to see how many Homes the Lord will direct Children
With Hope to
establish. We are open to the establishment of
many homes over the years ahead. The CWH board
is committed to excellence in each project that
is undertaken. We
wish to rely on God’s timing and leading, rather than
our own opinions and agenda. Additional homes most
likely would initially be considered in Kenya as we will
have gone through the organizational processes and will
have the appropriate structures in place. However,
we would be open to going into other countries
as God leads and opens doors.
Ages
of children which CWH plans to work with: We
most likely will begin with children who are 3 – 8 years old. We
remain open to working with younger children
as the Lord provides the resources and funds.
